Meet Hayden at Midwest Bank. Hayden is a Loan Officer at our Deshler branch. He’s worked for Midwest Bank for almost a year. Hayden grew up on a farm near Deshler as a young boy. His family then moved to Byron, Nebraska where he lived until leaving for college.
Hayden primarily works as an agricultural and commercial lender. He says, “I have really enjoyed learning from Rebecca and Joanna, as well as the rest of the staff here at the bank. I feel like I have gained a lot of knowledge in this field, in a short amount of time, which can be attributed to my great coworkers.”
Hayden attended and graduated from Deshler Public Schools. He then went on to graduate from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business/Economics. He fondly remembers his first job, working on the farm. As he describes it, “I was the low man on the totem pole, so I got all the fun jobs. Scooping manure, cleaning out grain bins, and checking cattle, just to name a few. I actually enjoyed it a lot. I ended up coming back to the farm after graduating from college and spend a few years working there full-time. My hands-on family experience has definitely helped me during my time so far as a lender.”

In his spare time, Hayden enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his girlfriend of almost three years. He is the youngest of five children and his parents still live in Byron, Nebraska. He also keeps busy with his two dogs, Drake and Cooper, and about 85 cows. His hobbies include working on the farm and golfing when he gets the chance. Hayden enjoys cheering on the Huskers, loves old episodes of Hogan’s Heroes, and enjoys going to live concerts including Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Morgan Wallen.
Even though Hayden hasn’t been with Midwest Bank long, he already realizes it really is a great place not only to bank but also to work. We asked him to describe Midwest Bank in just three words. He said, “Professional, Reliable, and Trustworthy.”
That’s a pretty great description for Midwest Bank if you ask us.
