Meet Krista at Midwest Bank. Krista is a Loan Administration Representative at our Pierce branch and has worked for Midwest Bank for five years. Krista grew up in Bloomfield, Nebraska and after high school graduation, Krista attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln, College of Saint Mary, and Northeast Community College where she received her Associate Degree.
Before beginning her career at Midwest Bank, Krista worked primarily in education. She’s worked as an elementary and high school special education paraprofessional, summer program facilitator, guidance counselor administrative assistant, John Baylor facilitator, and a junior high study hall monitor.
In her current role, Krista works in the loan department at the Pierce branch. She supports the loan officers by submitting loan requests, verifying documentation, maintaining customer files, answering customer loan questions, and checking daily reports.
Krista enjoys spending time with her family, her husband of 30 years, Marc, and their two grown children. They also have eleven pets keeping them busy – four dogs, three inside cats, and four barn cats. She also loves to read, help her dad on the farm, and cheer on the Huskers and Golden State Warriors. She would love to visit Austria and the Alp or Italy one day but her favorite place to visit regularly is Lewis and Clark Lake because it’s close to home but feels like a getaway.
Our customers are not just an account number, they are more important than that. We learn about their lives and their needs and offer them the services that fit them best. Relationships are the backbone of a community bank!
We asked Krista what the best part of working at Midwest Bank was. She answered, “The people! We all have so much fun together. We care about one another and what is happening in our lives, not only at work but personally as well. Also, the commitment of the administration to its employees – they are very generous with their time, talents, and treasures. We are all encouraged to give back to communities and I just love the relationships that it creates.” No matter which Midwest Bank branch you stop in, you’ll find the same commitment to building relationships and supporting our communities.
Krista goes on to explain why a community bank, especially Midwest Bank, is so unique. “Because of the relationships! We know our customers and they know us. We care about our customers on a personal level, not just a banking level. We can ask about their grandma or parent who was ill, we can offer to pray for them in times of joy and hardship, and we can laugh together or commiserate together. Our customers are not just an account number, they are more important than that. We learn about their lives and their needs and offer them the services that fit them best. Relationships are the backbone of a community bank!”
We couldn’t have said it any better.
