Meet Blake at Midwest Bank. Blake has been with Midwest Bank for 16 years and currently serves as the Market President for our Pilger branch. Blake grew up in Madison, Nebraska, and graduated from Madison High School before attending the University of Nebraska in Omaha for Business.
Blake has been in the banking industry since his time in college and then he started at Midwest Bank and has been here ever since. Blake started his career with Midwest as a Loan Officer before moving into his current role. As Market President, Blake oversees the day-to-day operations and overall growth of the Pilger branch.
When asked what the best thing about working at Midwest Bank is, Blake replied, “It’s got to be our excellent customers and coworkers. It all comes down to the people.” That’s truly what Midwest Bank is all about. We value the relationships we build with our clients, our staff, and our communities.
And community is at the center of all we do. Midwest Bank is proud to be a trusted, local, community bank. Blake explains why banking at a community bank is unique. He said, “We focus on personal service. Whether we’re serving a young man who just got his first job and needs a checking account or serving a local business owner and helping them get a loan, or we’re working with a family farm operation to get a new line of credit. Everything we do is personalized based on the individual we’re working with.”
Opening the bank in Pilger after the tornados struck in 2014. The community support and everyone coming together and building back stronger than before. That’s something I’ll never forget.
In his spare time, Blake enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. He also enjoys cheering on the Cornhuskers, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and currently binge-watching the show Suits. Blake’s favorite destination to visit is Jamaica, his dream vacation would be going to Egypt, and if he could live anywhere in the world, he’d pick Alaska.
When Blake thinks back about his favorite memories of working at Midwest Bank, one clearly sticks out. “Opening the bank in Pilger after the tornados struck in 2014. The community support and everyone coming together and building back stronger than before. That’s something I’ll never forget.” And if you’re looking for a new bank, Blake explains why you should choose Midwest Bank. “We provide the best service of any bank around. Our staff is exceptional and really dedicated to helping everyone that comes through our doors.”
And when we asked Blake to describe Midwest Bank in just three words, he said,
“Family. Honesty. Community.”
We’d agree that sums us up pretty darn well.
